Storynest.ai Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Storynest.ai website, application, and services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and all related policies referenced herein (including our Privacy Policy and Copyright & Content Responsibility Policy). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and Storynest.ai (“Storynest,” “we,” or “us”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service. Use of the Service is also subject to any additional guidelines, rules, or terms we post (which are incorporated by reference).
2. Eligibility
Minimum Age: You must be at least 13 years old to use Storynest.ai. The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we will terminate accounts of users we discover to be under 13. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. Monetization Eligibility: To participate in any revenue-earning or monetization features (such as receiving payouts for content), you must be 18 or older, or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction. Users under 18 may create content but may require a parent/guardian’s consent to monetize or withdraw earnings.
3. Account Registration and Security
Account Creation: To fully use Storynest.ai (e.g., to create or monetize content), you need to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Do not share your account or password with others. If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach, notify us immediately. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account information.
4. Changes to These Terms
Storynest.ai reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. We may do so for reasons including compliance with law, adding new features, or addressing changes in our business. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top, and we may provide additional notice (such as posting a notice on our website or sending an email for significant changes). Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service. It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically for updates.
5. User Content Ownership and License
Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of all original stories, characters, text, images, and other content (“User Content”) that you create and post on Storynest.ai. Your content is yours. Posting your original content on our platform does not transfer ownership to Storynest.ai. Of course, if the content wasn’t yours to begin with, posting it on Storynest.ai doesn’t make it yours. You should only post content that you have created or have all necessary rights to use. Don’t submit content that you do not hold the copyright or rights for (unless you have the copyright owner’s permission to do so, including permission to grant Storynest the rights described in these Terms).
License to Storynest.ai: In order for us to display and distribute your content on the platform, you grant Storynest.ai a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, distribute, modify (for technical formatting purposes only), publicly perform, publicly display, and otherwise use your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service. This license is limited to what is reasonably necessary for us to provide the Service (for example, to store your content on our servers and make it viewable to readers, or to promote your stories within the site). This license does not give us ownership of your content, and it ends when you remove your content from our platform (except to the extent that we have archived copies as part of routine backups, or if your content has been shared or downloaded by others to the extent it was permitted by the Service).
No Sale of Content: Storynest.ai will never sell your content to third parties without your explicit permission. You retain the right to license or exploit your content outside our platform as you see fit. Storynest’s rights to your content are only those outlined in this section.
6. User Conduct and Content Guidelines
Responsible Content Creation: You are solely responsible for the content you post on Storynest.ai and the consequences of publishing it. By submitting any content, you represent and warrant that: (a) you either own the content or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to post it, and to grant the license to us above; (b) your content does not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, trade secret, moral rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party; and (c) your content and your use of the Service comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Prohibited Content and Activities: You agree not to use Storynest.ai to post or transmit any content that:
You also agree not to engage in activities that interfere with or disrupt the Service (or the servers and networks connected to the Service), or attempt to bypass or disable any security or technical measures of the platform. Any form of misuse, exploitation of bugs, fraudulent activity (such as artificially generating interactions to earn credits), or any other “irregular” behavior intended to game the system is strictly prohibited.
Monitoring and Enforcement: Storynest.ai reserves the right (but has no obligation) to monitor user content and conduct. We may remove, screen, or edit any content at any time and without notice if we believe, in our sole discretion, that it violates these Terms, our policies, or the law. This includes the right to filter or delete content that we deem inappropriate or that may expose us or our users to harm or liability. We are not responsible for any failure or delay in removing such content.
Reporting: If you become aware of misuse of the Service or content that violates these guidelines (including copyright infringement, harassment, etc.), please report it to us through the designated contact channels (e.g., “Report” functions on the site or via email to hello@storynest.ai).
7. Monetization and Credits
Storynest.ai offers creators the ability to monetize their stories and interactive characters through a credit-based system and direct sales. By participating in the monetization features, you agree to the following terms:
Credit System: Credits are an internal currency on Storynest.ai used to reward creators and possibly to purchase content by readers. Credits earned by creators will accumulate in your account balance. Storynest.ai may, at its discretion, allow creators to redeem credits for real-world currency or other rewards. Redemption may be subject to reaching a minimum threshold, completing any necessary payment setup (such as providing a valid payment account and tax information), and complying with our payout procedures. We will provide instructions on how and when creators can convert credits to cash (for example, through a creator dashboard or by monthly payouts).
No Monetary Value Until Redemption: Until converted to cash via an official Storynest payout, credits themselves are not legal tender and cannot be traded or sold outside the platform. Storynest.ai reserves the right to modify the credit redemption process or equivalent monetary value of credits, but will not do so retroactively in a way that confiscates earned value without cause.
Taxes: Creators are responsible for any taxes, duties, or other governmental charges applicable to the money or value they earn through Storynest.ai. Storynest.ai may deduct any required withholding or similar taxes from payouts where required by law.
Changes to Monetization Terms: Storynest.ai may adjust the rates of credit earnings (e.g., the number of credits per interaction or unlock) or the revenue share percentage in the future as needed for business or legal reasons. If we do so, we will update these Terms or the relevant policy and notify creators of the change. We will not reduce your already-earned credits or share for content sold prior to the change. Your continued use of the monetization features after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
8. Suspension and Termination
Storynest.ai has the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, any applicable law, or engaged in behavior that is fraudulent, abusive, or that may harm other users, third parties, or Storynest.ai itself. This includes, but is not limited to: posting prohibited content, infringing others’ intellectual property, fraudulent use of the platform, or any other irregularities or legal infringements we detect in your account usage. We may also suspend or terminate your access if we cease to offer the Service or for any other reason in our discretion, even if not for cause.
In the event of termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may deactivate or delete your account and all associated data and content, and prevent you from further access to the Service. If we terminate your account for violation of these Terms or law, you will not be entitled to any compensation or restoration of unused credits or other benefits, except as required by law or as agreed at our discretion. If you have pending earnings at the time of termination, Storynest.ai reserves the right to withhold such earnings (especially if related to fraudulent or infringing activities) or to refund affected users.
Storynest.ai shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination or suspension of your account or access to the Service, or for the removal of your content. Upon termination, Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will remain in effect.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Your use of Storynest.ai is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storynest.ai disclaims all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the Service and your use thereof. This includes, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.
Storynest.ai does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that any content (including User Content) is accurate, complete, or reliable. No information or advice obtained from Storynest.ai or through the Service shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms. You understand that downloading or obtaining any material through the Service is done at your own discretion and risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Storynest.ai or its parent company, affiliates, officers, employees, agents, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no case shall the aggregate liability of Storynest.ai and its affiliates for all claims arising out of or related to the Service exceed the amount you paid to Storynest.ai for the Service in the 12 months immediately preceding the event that gave rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater. This limitation of liability applies to all causes of action and will apply even if any limited remedy herein is found to have failed its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above disclaimers or limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Storynest.ai, its parent company, affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents (the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) that arise out of or are related to (a) your use or misuse of the Service, (b) your User Content or any content you submit, post, or share on or through the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms or any of our policies, or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you. In that event, you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claim. You will not settle any claim subject to indemnification without the prior written consent of Storynest.ai.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising from your use of the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, applicable to contracts made and performed therein, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that any lawsuit or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, County of New Castle. You consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts and waive any objection that such courts are an inconvenient forum.
If you are using the Service outside of the United States, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and that the laws of the U.S. (Delaware) govern your use of the Service. Use of the Service may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws, and you agree to comply with all applicable laws in your use of the Service.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision on any future occasion.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Copyright & Content Responsibility Policy, and any other legal notices or guidelines posted by Storynest.ai, constitute the entire agreement between you and Storynest.ai concerning the Service. They supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether electronic, oral or written, between you and Storynest with respect to the Service. No oral or written information or advice given by us or our representatives shall create any warranty or in any way increase the scope of the obligations under these Terms.
15. Changes and Termination of Service
Storynest.ai may, at its discretion, change, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, including the availability of any feature, content, or database, without notice . We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or all of the Service without notice or liability. Storynest shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

- Impersonates any person or entity, or falsely states or misrepresents your affiliation.
- Contains software viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
You also agree not to engage in activities that interfere with or disrupt the Service (or the servers and networks connected to the Service), or attempt to bypass or disable any security or technical measures of the platform. 7. Monetization and Credits
Storynest.ai offers creators the ability to monetize their stories and interactive characters through a credit-based system and direct sales. By participating in the monetization features, you agree to the following terms:
- Earning Credits for Interactions: You will earn 5 credits for each user interaction with your story characters. An “interaction” is defined as a user engaging in a chat or interactive session with a character you created on the platform. Credits are automatically awarded to your account for each qualifying interaction.
- Earning Credits for Chapter Unlocks: If you publish stories behind an unlock (paywall) on Storynest, you will earn 200 credits each time a user unlocks a chapter of your short story, and 400 credits each time a user unlocks a chapter of your novel. (Short stories and novels may be defined by Storynest based on length or format.) These credits are awarded when a reader uses the required amount of in-app currency or payment to access your chapter.
- Premium Content Sales (70/30 Revenue Split): As a creator, you may set a premium price (either in real currency or an equivalent credit value) for access to your original content (such as a full story, series, or special interactive experience). In such cases, you will receive 70% of the net revenue collected for that content, and Storynest.ai will retain 30% as a platform fee. This 70/30 revenue split applies to direct sales of content that you price, analogous to many app stores and content platforms. For example, if you price a premium novel at $10, you would receive $7 and Storynest would retain $3 (excluding any applicable transaction processing fees or taxes).
